WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END THE REGULAR SEASON!

Thank you to EVERYONE who came out for Last-Chance Weekend to prepare for, and finish up their averages for State Finals and Interstate and to help us support Interstate Princess Tressa Merrill!  We had a great time and lots of fun with our horse family, enjoying each other’s company, sharing Cowboy Church together, BBQ’ing and giving it a “last go” as the 2019/2021 regular Season came to an end.  Thank you all for making it a memorable weekend!

Special thanks to the Games Committee for all of their hard work throughout the year, planning and preparing for, and working for/at our shows – We couldn’t do it without your committed dedication to making it happen!  You guys have all been an awesome bunch to work with!

A HUGE thank you to all the guys who hauled tractors, watered ground, worked ground, got up early to prepare the arena and kept us safe – so much of what you do goes unseen, but our fast times and safety are proof of your dedication and hard work.
Thank you to every Judge, 1st & 2nd Timer, Gate Keeper, USB Runner, Stomper, arena set-up helper, You all know who you are – YOU kept things moving and created a fun atmosphere for everyone!

A huge Special Thank you to Jan for always being there helping me in the office, entering points, calculating bills, fielding questions, keeping records, and keeping each other company - we make a pretty good team!

And Lastly, to all of our riders and their families, Thank you for being there, for cooperating, helping, and cheering us on – YOU ALL are why we do this – Isn’t it great to have a community of people we can call our HORSE FAMILY!

The Nooksack Valley Riders - Check us out!

Do you enjoy running barrels, poles, flags, and such with your horse? Are you looking for fairly inexpensive family entertainment? Would you like to exercise your horse in an indoor arena in the winter, or trail ride with friends? Do you like to volunteer to do things to benefit your community and beyond?  If so, this may be the club for you!

Our members are from every walk of life, and from all over Western Washington (although most are from Whatcom County).

We have a lot of families in our membership, and enjoy seeing family participation at our shows. Although there is a lot of competition in
what we do, it is friendly competition focused on seeing improvement in our times, averages, and achievements and seeing everyone succeed!

Our members are very encouraging of one another, and are as excited seeing others progress, as themselves. We compete on the club level, but we are also affiliated with PSHA (Patterned Speed Horse Association) and enjoy gathering with friends and fellow horsemen from around our state.  Many of our members compete at the State level and even at the Interstate level.

Our club does exhibition shows in front of the grandstands at the Northwest Washington Fair every August in Lynden, WA.  We are also very involved in giving back to our community through a huge annual fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation involving our whole community as well as other fundraisers as the need arises, including but not limited to disaster relief, local food bank distribution, and raising money to meet medical and crisis needs in and around our state.

If this sound like something you would enjoy, come check us out! For further information please click on the link for more information:
